JAKARTA - Four in five completed flights covered by Cirium’s Southeast Asia airline ranking arrived on time in June.

The regional on-time arrival rate reached 83.71%, edging up from 83.52% in May, according to Cirium’s June 2026 Southeast Asia On-Time Performance Report, published on July 16. The ranked airlines scheduled 100,350 flights during the month, and Cirium tracked 98.02% of their published services.

Thai Lion Air set the regional pace, with 94.75% of its completed flights reaching the gate on time. Scoot followed at 86.98%, narrowly ahead of Singapore Airlines at 86.74%. Philippine Airlines ranked fourth at 86.33%, and AirAsia completed the top five at 84.88%. AirAsia operated the largest schedule among them, with 26,250 flights, compared with Thai Lion Air’s 3,242.

Cirium measures punctuality at the arrival gate rather than at take-off or landing. The report glossary states, “On time is defined as arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.” The regional percentage covers completed flights with the required arrival data, with total scheduled flights reported separately.

Four of the five leading airlines improved from May. Philippine Airlines recorded the largest monthly gain, rising 3.65 percentage points from 82.68%. Thai Lion Air increased by 3.56 points, Scoot by 1.05 points and AirAsia by 1.07 points. Singapore Airlines slipped by 0.97 points, leaving only 0.24 points between it and second-ranked Scoot.

The results changed when cancellations were considered. Thai Lion Air’s completion factor was 92.01%, meaning it completed a smaller share of its tracked schedule than Scoot at 99.94%, Singapore Airlines at 99.86%, Philippine Airlines at 98.32% and AirAsia at 99.00%. AirAsia also recorded the highest on-time departure rate among the five carriers, at 87.64%.

Garuda Indonesia and Malaysia Airlines remained close to the regional arrival rate, recording 84.13% and 83.19%, respectively. Cebu Pacific reached 78.11%, followed by Thai Airways International at 76.19% and Vietnam Airlines at 75.74%.

Cirium defines completion factor as the percentage of tracked flights that operated rather than being cancelled. The company says its rankings draw on more than 2,000 sources, with the data verified, checked for consistency and screened for outliers before publication.
