KUALA LUMPUR - The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait has launched a dedicated assistance form for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) seeking support as regional tensions continue to affect Kuwait’s airspace.
In a statement, the embassy said the form is designed to collect essential information from OFWs to assess their needs, coordinate support services and facilitate official actions, as reported by Arab Times.
These include assistance with documentation, communication and possible voluntary repatriation.
Officials said all personal data submitted through the form will be treated confidentially and used solely for assistance purposes.
The embassy also urged Filipinos in Kuwait to stay in contact through official hotlines and social media platforms.
OFWs can reach the embassy’s hotline at +965 6500 2612.
They may also contact the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) through the hotlines +965 9403 9063, +965 6040 3858 and +965 6558 5355.
Updates and assistance are also available through the embassy’s social media accounts, including Facebook pages PHinKuwait, MWO.Kuwait and OWWAkuwait, as well as the X account @PHinKUWAIT.
The embassy said applicants using the form must acknowledge their understanding of the current airspace closure in Kuwait.
They must also consent to voluntary repatriation should flights resume, confirm they possess the required exit clearance and travel documents, and authorise the processing of their personal information for official purposes.
The initiative comes as authorities continue to monitor the situation in the region and prepare contingency measures for Filipinos working overseas.
