KUALA LUMPUR - Air India and its low-cost unit Air India Express have cancelled all flights to and from Dubai following rising tensions in West Asia.
The announcement was made on Monday after a drone strike was reported near Dubai International Airport, which triggered a fire in the area.
According to Air India, the decision came after the temporary suspension of all flight operations at the airport.
The airline said passengers may reschedule their flights for another date or cancel their bookings and receive a full refund.
The airline also said that Air India Express will continue its ad-hoc flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah as previously scheduled.
